  • Lee Graff Medical And Scientific Library: Library Services partners with you in support of your research and clinical needs. Library staff help users with reference inquiries and instruct on how to access, search databases, and locate relevant literature. When you need a book, chapter, or article that the Graff Library does not own, it can requested via the interlibrary loan service using ILLiad, an online interlibrary loan system, to place requests.

      • The Cochrane Library offers a collection of databases in medicine and other healthcare specialties provided by Cochrane and other organizations. At its core is the collection of Cochrane Reviews, a database of systematic reviews and meta-analyses which summarize and interpret the results of medical research.
      • PubMed@COH is a key database in the life and biomedical sciences. It includes citations for articles from indexed journals covering medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, veterinary medicine, public health, and health care services.
      • Web of Science is a powerful research engine, delivering a library with publication and citation data for confident discovery, access and assessment.

Preparing and Maintaining Reviews

  • Review Manager (RevMan) is Cochrane's software for preparing and maintaining Cochrane reviews. RevMan facilitates preparation of protocols and full reviews, including text, characteristics of studies, comparison tables, and study data. It can perform meta-analysis of the data entered, and present results graphically. Preview this short video of What RevMan is and How it can be used. 
  • The Experimental Design Assistant (EDA) is a web application which helps researchers improve the design of animal experiments. Carefully designed experiments yield robust and reproducible data using the minimum number of animals consistent with the scientific objectives.

  • iLab is used to manage reservations of equipment, cores, devices, tools, etc required to facilitate studies and experiments. 
Strategic Sourcing Services
  • Strategic Sourcing (“SS”) brings value to the City of Hope Research enterprise by improving pricing and commercial terms (like those pertaining to quality and delivery) for supplies, services and capital equipment acquisitions.  The amount of value that can be derived from strategic sourcing methodologies is highly correlated with the time frame of engagement.  Involving Strategic Sourcing early in the planning stages for a project or purchase will help maximize opportunities to increase value.  Please reference the Procurement iHOPE page for more details.
  • For purchases/projects that are >/= $100K, request support from Strategic Sourcing by submitting a request via the Sourcing Intake Form.
  • For common laboratory supplies such as Pipette Tips, Glassware & Plasticware, Tubes & Vials or other General Supplies or Utensils, a Preferred Supplier List is in development to provide visibility to low-cost purchase options from our preferred laboratory distributors.
